On 11st November 1965, at an early age of 17 by the grace of his Guru 108 Mahant Sahadev Dass and from then on, till 7th March 2012 he practiced as officiating Mahant (priest) at Mare D’albert Kabir Dharmadass Bansawali Sabha and at Grand Bois Kabir Matt.
For the past 47 years, he had been fully pre-occupied with the auspicious and august responsibility of acting as Spiritual Master (Guru). In his capacity as officiating priest, he had initiated thousands of disciples in the line and teachings of Sadguru Kabir Saheb and instilled the strong sense of devotion, duty, consciousness, love and respect, protection and care, answering faith and service at large.
He also conducted classes of priesthood (Mahantee) and during his reign, he felt the need for propagating the teachings and philosophy of Sadguru Kabir Saheb and in this view; he initiated six officiating Mahants (Priests) to serve the society.
The Kabirpanthi Mahasabha Mauritius was founded and registered under his supervision to promote the teachings and preaching of Sadguru Kabir Saheb to the society at large. As a true servant of Kabir Saheb, he organized seminars and cultural programs at national and international levels.
His aim was to bring back all the Kabirpanthis as a unit; hence he helped in the setting other associations thus bringing unity all along.
